In follow up to WorkingTitle's baby book memories... I was born a couple years earlier, so you can see the 70s influence...
July & August are busy birthday months in my family - there are 4 in the last week of July, and 4 in one week in August. Had the Monkey been born on his due date, mine, my sister's and his would have been three days in a row - but, he wanted to have his own birthday week. I mentioned previously my current quick-and-easy photo post-it technique for card-making. Here are some of the July creations:
My current quick-and-easy trick is to use my 3M post-it photo paper and photo printer to print a picture, slap it on a blank card and print, cut & paste on a short caption. It helps that I have thousands of photos of the kid to work with, and who doesn't love a cute baby pic? Although my most recent card actually featured the dog. Of course, I don't have photos of the creations to share... but will try to remember to take one the next time.
But if you really truly don't have time to make a card, Tiny Prints has a cute new generic card collection. I gave my mom and sister an "emergency card kit" from Target for Christmas the year they both forgot my birthday ... so if you also have forgetful relatives, here's an early shopping tip for the holidays:

My two favorite things right now:
1) "balance sheet" to do sheets. Sure, it would be cheaper to just draw a line down a sheet of paper, but I'm a stationery whore and I love the pretty colors. It helps to at least see everything at once, even if my elaborate to-do system devolves into the pictured state over the course of a week. I suffer from the "one thing checked off, three things added" syndrome.
2) origins Dr. Andrew Weil Plantidote Mega-Mushroom eye serum.
This is actually working on the working-mama-of-teething-baby dark
under-eye circles. I'm so impressed I might have to try his
"Nite-trition Restful Sleep Supplement" next. Wonder if it's safe for infants? ;-)
