things i like thursday: baby fashion
I did decide to go through my interests in alphabetical order, but I'm skipping "baby" since the purpose of this exercise is to write about other things. But, the next couple are still baby-related, so bear with me.
I lamented in the past about my frustration with cutesy pastel baby clothes, and the dearth of cute options for baby boys. The Monkey's rapid rate of growth has fast forwarded us into the much wider array of toddler options. Of course, no sooner had he outgrown the 0-9 mo. infant range than Target introduced organic infant clothes, so I'm bummed we never got to try those. We have settled into some favorites though:
- H&M, infant, toddler and beyond in a super soft cotton and all sorts of bright and fun colors. Great onesies, shirts and bright light-weight cargo pants (we have yellow & lime green).
- American Apparel, soft and American-made organic t-shirts and an around-the-house favorite, karate pants.
- And we round out the wardrobe with Carters rompers for the hottest summer days (I would kill for AA to make rompers! I did pick up one at babystyle.) and of course the occasional obnoxious Target tshirts (see bottom pic) or cargo shorts (just picked some up on clearance this week).
- Old Navy fleece was a winter favorite, and we like their jeans and overalls (middle pic), but I haven't shopped there lately. The ON bermuda shorts sported in the bottom pic were a resale shop find by my mom.
Because the Monkey's bum is a larger size than he is length-wise, his shorts look more like capri pants. Which works out great for keeping his knees protected while he's crawling around! Oh, and last but not least, we're liking Bobux shoes now, especially these breathable sneakers for summer.

I wish we had H&M in our neck of the woods. I've heard their kids clothes are super cute.
Adorable shots! I'm such a sucker for the obnoxious Target shirts (a grinning orange leopard with purple spots? Into the cart it goes!).
